Saturday 14th July Centenary Day
What a day! How many people came? Hundreds poured in from far and wide. Australia,New Zealand, Ireland,Norfolk,Devon,Wales,Formby etc etc. All 150 name tags went in the first hour. The day was a great success. I lost count of the number of times I heard "Beryl..I have not seen you since 1965" Memories were exchanged and old friends found each other. There are so many stories I do not know where to start. Over 70 books on "The history of Manchester Road School" were sold. Extra have been printed and are due to be sent out next week. Thanks to everyone who came and made this a very special day. More stories and memories to follow.

We have the latest school prospectus available here on the website to view in the convenience of your own home. As an eco school we are looking at ways to reduce the amount of paper we produce so we hope some parents will be willing to view the prospectus online. There is a paper version and a CD version available as well. Please contact the school office if you would like this option.

Links with a Czech primary school. We have received a wonderful pile of letters and drawings from Year 5 children from a schoool in Prague in the Czech Republic. We are hoping to form links with this school by letters and e-mails. Have a look at some of the superb drawings they have sent us of buildings in Prague.
